Would love to read more of your reviews of our guru's music.

After concluding that IR has lost his touch, I am now learning to appreciate his recent music. When I first listented to Mayakannadi..I thought it was very average but when listened in proper quality and proper equipment, the songs reveal themselves. It does seem that he still has the juice in him. What seems to be lack is that his music has become subtle...and the tunes are not captivating. They are good...but not captivating. The greatness of his music was how it would impress a lay man and a pundit but his music of these days seems to require us to pay attention rather than how they used to grab attention.

I am looking forward to cheeni kum. The samples of Ajantha show promise.Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04761852896116998392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13547794.post-27422929260354736972007-03-25T21:28:00.000+05:302007-03-25T21:28:00.000+05:30Very happy to see your posts revived. Probably it is Varma's fav song and he just wanted it somehow.

Kedar:Yes, it is simhendramadhyamam.Aakarshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15943886586244410709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13547794.post-21805392810813521612007-03-06T11:08:00.000+05:302007-03-06T11:08:00.000+05:30After a long time!! well it was about time... I...I liked both Sara Yeh aalam and Dheeme Dheeme... I cant think of any other singer who could have done a better job than Shreya.... Although I was thoroughly disappointed with the lyrics... very nice tune fitted with very bad words... Roop Kumar Rathod has a very specific niche when it comes to singing and can only singing few songs well.... they have to be extremely tailor made to his voice... he is classically sound but he makes singing seem very tough contrast to Shreya. Good review!! I did not believe in the whole concept of remake of Shiva so I feel that Illayaraja's songs have been wasted on a wrong project.Musically Mehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15904034817811918955noreply@blogger.com
